Love and marriage may be good for the soul, but when it comes to physical fitness, many couples tend to find themselves living in sickness rather than in health. Those are the findings of a British study commissioned by the Department of Health suggesting that married people exercise much less than their single counterparts. This research was carried out in England, but we see the same patterns in this country, in our state, as well as in our town says Beaufort personal trainers and Beaufort fitness experts. In fact, several previous studies, including one from the University of North Carolina, have shown that married couples are twice as likely to become obese due to their inactivity.
So let’s delve into this: why are so many married people less physically active than singles? One of the reasons cited by the study is that, for some people, getting married and settling down means “I can let myself go!”. Being in great shape may not seem as important to them anymore some Beaufort personal trainers say. Another reason, researchers say, is that married people lead busy lives focused on work and family obligations. When leisure time is limited, physical fitness becomes less important; it takes a back seat.
However, no matter how hectic our lives are and how many responsibilities we juggle every day, we can still find time to fit in some form of exercise or Beaufort fitness programs into our schedule. Too often people fall into the trap of thinking that just because they are busy, they have no time to exercise and train with Beaufort personal trainers. But all it takes is motivation, creativity, and planning. At EarthFIT, we suggest to get busy married couples moving and shaking:
Make fitness a priority: Being married is no excuse for slacking off. Just because you are in a committed relationship now doesn’t mean you shouldn’t look and feel great – if not for yourself, then for your man or lady.
Plan: Schedule your workout sessions ahead of time with your Beaufort personal trainer, just as you would any other important appointment. As the saying goes, “failing to plan is planning to fail”.
Include your spouse: If you complain about the lack of quality time with your significant other, go on ‘Beaufort fitness dates.’ There is a great motivational aspect to exercising as a team. Ask a Beaufort personal trainer to show you some exercises that couples can do together.
Choose wisely: If your time is limited, ask a Beaufort fitness instructor or a Beaufort personal trainer to demonstrate the most time-efficient, structured total-body workout that includes essentials such as cardio and strength training.
Have fun: Don’t look at exercise as a chore or a burden on your time, but as a positive, bonding experience with your partner. You will get healthier and fitter without sacrificing quality couple time.

“Hey! My name is Ian Hart and I’m a fitness expert and owner of EarthFIT Personal Training Facilities as well as Back Pain Relief4Life. Today what I am going through with you is a healthy dessert and after this video, you’ll be able to make this healthy dessert for your family and they probably won’t even be able to tell that it’s all natural, organic and completely healthy for them.
The first ingredient that is in there is the coconut. And shortly I’m going to chop this thing open with a machete – so stand by, that is going to be interesting, because I don’t know how it’s going to turn out. But before I do that, I wanted to explain to you about the coconut. First off, it is high in fat and there are a lot of calories in it and that could be the down side if you’re someone who is trying to lose weight and is on a calorie-restricted diet, but remember this is a dessert, so this will be a time to splurge. So, the coconut has a medium-chain fatty acid and what that means is it’s not like a high, a long-chain fatty acid which would be saturated fats. So actually this is been shown to contribute to decreasing the bad cholesterol and increasing the good cholesterol. It also has good minerals like potassium, and potassium is vital for muscle growth but it’s also vital for the regulation of liquid in your cells or water in your cells, which is important for everything we do in life. You also want to get raw and natural coconut meat, I’m going to chop this open but you should be able to find raw, organic coconut meat at your local health food store. Where I lived here, you can find that at Herban Marketplace. It’s also high in lauric acid. Lauric acid is antimicrobial and antiviral; so there are a lot of good properties that come from this. In fact in some places they’ve actually have been known to use coconut water in the IV for rehydration and just helping people to rehydrate and get liquid back into the body.
So the first ingredient we have here is the coconut. Then we have the cup of bananas and – you can use 1 or 2 bananas it depends on what you like. I also have frozen strawberries dessert. These are actually organic strawberries that I bought at Whole Foods and I froze them for later. And then people always ask me what protein is best for them to use. A few proteins that I suggest. One of them being Plant Fusion. Plant Fusion is great! Not only is it not very expensive but it’s actually hypoallergenic – it has no dairy no soy, no animal, and it is easily digestible, so it is absorbed in the body fast and it is a great protein. So that’s the ingredients. I’m also going to add some ice into it. So I’ve got my trusty machete here.
For me this is the exciting part of the day. It is actually opening up the coconut and this is what I like to do with a machete. You might not want to do that, so you can go get the coconut meat at a health store. All right. So when I open this coconut, I personally like to cut on the outside because I want to open the whole top and I’ll get access to the meat. So what I’m going to do is to chop four sides on each side of the coconut. So there is one and actually the water came out pretty quickly. Let’s see if I can pour this out right away. So there we go, that is the coconut water. I don’t want to waste that. Okay now I should be able to cut this top off pretty easily. Oh! It’s a dud!
Well anyways, we got a dud coconut and this tends to happen every once in awhile. Every once in a while I will get very little coconut meat and I still can use that. But what we are looking for is a thick coconut meat and if you get one, it’s really good, it just peels off naturally. It will either peel of naturally, or take a spoon and scrape some of it out. So I’ll just scrape it out like that but we want really thick coconut meat. And one thing to be advised about is that sometimes when this are shipped overseas and they can go rancid pretty quickly. So if the water is not clear, you want to make sure that it is… try tasting it, if it taste a little salty or something then the meat is probably old and you don’t want to use it.
For the most part, I find these things show up on time and still good to use. Inside you can see there’s a very thin coconut meat. This is actually the first time I had one this empty, and of course I’m filming it for you. But anyway, I’m going to move on. So, now I will have all the coconut meat, throw that in there, throw the banana in along with the strawberries or you can actually use whatever fruit you think is best. You can use pineapple, peaches; remember this is dessert. You don’t have to use the protein. I use the protein just to get some extra protein. There’s not that much protein in this mixture and it actually tastes decent when mixed in. So I’m going to throw in a scoop, one scoop – healthy scoop. And then if you need to, in your blender you can throw in a little extra water or something and then turn it on.
So that’s it! I think you get the point. This is pretty much done, the only thing I might add different is ice, so I’m going to throw some ice in there and it’s ready to be served. A coconut, with 2 bananas and strawberries, with a scoop of protein powder and some ice will serve about 4 people. So that’s a perfect amount. I tend to drink this whole thing by myself – but that’s because I’m trying to gain weight so this was good for your whole family and I hope you enjoyed this. If you have any questions or comments, go ahead and leave them below and have a good day!”
