“Hey! Good morning! It’s Ian Hart and thought of doing a video to expand on what I was speaking about in the last video I sent about a few days ago. I got a ton of great feedback and so I thought I would give a little bit more in regards to that topic so that it could help people move towards their goals faster and with more clarity.
So, I spoke about core values and how important it is to move forward towards their goals and when you have core values and you dig deep into what your core values are, what your passions are, then it gives you more direction and clarity. Alright so, as with the map if you want to go somewhere first, you need to know where you’re at and then only then can you move forward. And so it’s the same thing the core values as you define your core values you essentially have more meaning in your life and when you have more meaning you have more value.
Alright so, it’s a symbiotic relationship: you have meaning which creates value. And then, creates more meaning and then creates more value. And so, life continues on like that as we add meaning to it, we add more value to it. For example, a relationship has value only when it has meaning right? Someone has passed away you don’t know, someone across the world passes away and you find out about it or you might hear about it you might say “Oh it’s terrible!” but it’s not traumatic because that relationship doesn’t have value but when someone close to you passes away it’s traumatic because that relationship has meaning and value. And so if you have a good relationship with yourself then you have meaning and value in that relationship. The more you’re going to take care of your health, the more you’re going to expect all the things that enter your mind, your body, your spirit, your soul and then ultimately, you’re going to add more value to your life and to your relationship and everything around you will seem better, have more direction, purpose, clarity. And so, the more value you give your life the better everything else is, the more you will take care of yourself, the more love you will show yourself and others.
So, you know people come into us for training and they’ll say things like “Oh you know it’s expensive or you know I’m just not ready to do it…” but they’re in the position where they’re in dire need of health and so those people just don’t value their health and they don’t see the value in their health and if they had a solid foundation of core principles, core beliefs, core passions, they knew who they are, what they are about then they might see more value in a training program or taking the first step forward in a training program. So, I hope that helps expanding on the core values concept. This is something that we are going to implement into the EarthFIT program for those that are interested… and yeah, I’ll be back implementing these core values into our program for those that are interested in it and so this will help everybody move forward towards their goals and then actually will help every aspect of their life. And so I’m excited to bring that to EarthFIT.

Being coached is one of the best ways to ensure continued self awarenss and growth, which is vital to reaching new heights in life.
So congrats on allowing yourself be coached, just that in itself is an accomplishment.
The truth is, we are all playing a game… the game of life. We are either winning (being happy and in control of our current situation) or we feel like we are losing (unhappy and not in control of our current situation).
Feeling like a loser sucks, believe me, I know. I have spent too many years feeling like a loser; but the truth is I wasn’t a loser.
It was my thinking that was backwards – and that made me feel like a loser. The reality was that I was a winner but I was living in “The Gap”.
It is like that famous qoute “When you change how you look at things, the things that you look at change.”
There is a simple formula that can make you feel like you are winning instantly!
But before I get in to that, let me explain what “The Gap” is. It’s something that I learned from world renowned coach, Dan Sullivan. One of the coaching programs that I am currently in was created by Dan Sullivan. Over the past 5 years I have consistently had a coach and have had the opportunity to work with some of the best coaches in the world to help me help EF trainers and clients progress to new levels. My hope is that this concept and the recommendation at the end of the email assists you towards your goals in 2014.
OK… So, “The Gap”…
“The Gap” is the place between where you are currently and your ideal self. Your ideal self being an image that is held in your mind and is never obtainable becasue when a goal is reached, the ideal self shifts again to something different, therefore the “ideal” is never truly reached. You are always left with the feeling of losing which never helps self-esteem. Essentially you want to stay out of this place because happiness and fullfillment can never be achieved when you live in “The Gap”.
On the filp side, when you compare yourself: where you started vs. where you are today, you can ONLY see the success and the progress you have made. This always leads to happiness and fullfillment because there is a sense of accomplishment and forward progress. It is also focusing on the positive, creating postive feelings of success and accomplishment giving motivation of wanting to do more and more.
If you do even 1 thing a day that helps you towards your goal, you are successful.
Nobody is perfect so small success leads to major success over time. As coaches we know this as it relates directly to fitness.
Every workout translates to calories lost/strength gained/cardio increase or what ever your goal may be and every meal can be postives to your physiological function and goals, or destructive and sabatoging.
Every decision counts. Every decision you make is either taking you further from or closer to your goals. But we want to focus on the positive.
I will share pieces of how you can do that becasue my goal in 2014 is to help you win.
Winning is accomplishing the desired result. And it all begins with how you look at things.
Let’s walk through 2014 with winning confidence instead of feeling like a loser.

Help Your Fitness Goals With Positive Brain Frequencies
“Hey! What’s going on? It is Ian Hart here with EarthFIT Blog and today I am going to talk to you about something that is extremely important; it has to do with frequencies. Back in the day when we first came out with the Radio, and then came out with TV, then the Internet and cell phones, and so on and everybody was amazed by these because we can send a signal to somewhere and they can pick up a frequency and then it allows for it to reach into somebody else relatively easily without even seeing anything being connected with it. But, before the Radio was invented, before electricity was invented, before anything there were frequencies going off and on all day everyday by something else and that something is your Brain.
So, your brain literally emits frequencies and those frequencies depend on how you operate or you operate depending on your brain frequency. So if you have certain friends that you guys all have the same vibe and same thing you connect with certain levels generally, you are operating on same range frequency or some people you just don’t connect with because you are operating on totally different frequency.
Now it is known that we operate better in Alpha and Theta state and a Theta brain frequency is what kids are operating at from around 2 to 6. So if you remember your childhood days, everything was amazing right? You could dream and imagine you had imaginary friends and everything in life was good. So you’d probably feel great to be back at that mode.
So, there’s a few ways you can get back to that mode and the reason why this is very important is because being a certain brain frequency will allow you to achieve better things. There’s a guy by the name of Silva, who created a Silva mind technique and what he realized is that if you decrease the resistance in electricity then the lights work better, the electricity flowed better and he realized that if you decrease resistance in your brain that your brain works better and you achieve better results, you get to your goal faster and life becomes better. So it’s a long the same lines of what you resist persists. So if you resist something you’re focusing energy on it, it actually still keeps coming. If you let go and kind of stop resisting and just go with the flow then things become easier and you attract things you want in life.
So, there’s a few things that you can do that allow you to get in these mind states – that is Meditation, like I said just letting go and taking action but still taking action like I’ve mention in another blog post, you have to take action, take the step forward and then just relax and let go.
You can’t control certain things so once you take the action and let go, you just let the things unfold, because there’s no use in stressing about things you can’t control. And then just have a faith or belief like we mentioned in the other blog post – you have to believe that things are going to happen, that life is going to unfold. So Meditation is a great way to get into the Alpha mind state. Theta actually happens right before you fall asleep. So when you are about to fall asleep, you go in the Theta state and it’s a good time to actually send suggestions to yourself and say ask before you go to bed, allow me to be relaxed and have good dreams and relaxing dreams and then go into sleep and that help you relax and will subconsciously prepare you for the next day. So that’s one tip and just remember that some people operate on one frequency and that’s it. You want to kind of open up your frequencies and operate so you’re on your smooth level.
