EARTHFIT’S PUSHUPS CHALLENGE TO BENEFIT PEDIATRIC CANCER
(BEAUFORT, SC) – Families battling pediatric cancer gain support worldwide March 1, 2015, thanks to “Pushups for a Purpose,” an event hosted by the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund and locally at Beaufort’s EarthFIT Training Facility (EarthFIT).
For every push up completed, participants and sponsors will donate $1 to the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund, a non-profit whose mission is to support families battling childhood cancer with financial, emotional and practical support. The challenge will be held at EarthFIT’s Lady’s Island location, 39 Sams Point Rd. (behind Video Warehouse), at 12:31 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided. This event is open to the public.
Participants worldwide will compete March 1 and attempt to set world records for the most people doing pushups at the exact same minute in time. Organizations like the Training for Warriors network, of which EarthFIT is a proud affiliate, has more than 29 countries participating in the challenge.
“We are thrilled to receive the support of EarthFIT surrounding this record-breaking event,” said Keli Coughlin, Executive Director of The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund. “It is truly inspiring to work with such caring and committed people that support our cause to be there for families tackling childhood cancer.”
